Presentation: Making an MCP, Elements Code Compliance

Description: Vertical transportation units are required to have a Maintenance Control Program. This session will demonstrate the Code required elements that must be included.

Bio: 

John Koshak entered the elevator industry in 1980 in San Francisco, rising to adjuster for Westinghouse, adjuster and supervisor for Dover Elevator, service adjuster and route mechanic for Amtech Elevator. In 1996, he patented and developed the LifeJacket, elevated to Vice President of Technical Support for Adams Elevator Equipment Company.  In 2001 he joined Thyssenkrupp Elevator in a research and design capacity and then Director of Codes and Standards. In 2008 he went full time into his consulting firm, Elevator Safety Solutions, LLC. In 2016, he founded eMCP, LLC to provide code compliant Maintenance Control Programs for owners and companies
